Which iPhone® models do you support?
We currently support both black and white versions of the following iPhones:
- iPhone® 4 (GSM/AT&T)
- iPhone® 4 (CDMA/Verizon)
- iPhone® 4s

How much does shipping cost?
US: $5.99  (US orders shipped USPS Priority Mail)

International: $25 (International orders shipped USPS with Tracking)
International customers may be subject to pay additional duties upon package arrival.

When can I expect my order to be shipped?
Sled backs are made to order. Depending on our order volume, you can expect your order to ship in 1-2 weeks. After your order has shipped you can expect it to arrive within 1 week via USPS (international shipping takes about 1-2 weeks).

What is included in my order?
In addition to your handmade leather iPhone® back, we include 2 free mini magnetic screwdrivers (4pt phillips/cross and 5pt pentalobe/star) for ease of installation. Depending on where your phone was manufactured you will either have cross or star head screws.

Does it change the thickness of my phone?
The iPhone® 4/4s is about 9.3mm thick.  With Sled leather Runner backs it becomes about 10.8-10.9mm thick..  This can vary slightly from piece to piece due to the natural variation in leather hides. They feel extremely comfortable in your hand and you will hardly notice the slight difference in thickness. 

Please note, the hardwood backs barely increase the thickness of your phone. 

If I customize with my initials, how many can be embossed on the back?
Up to 6 initials can be stamped on the back in the lower right corner. Please include them in the "Special Instructions" section in the shopping cart when you place your order. The letters will be slightly smaller than 1/4" tall.

Can I get a custom logo or artwork stamped on my Sled back?
Absolutely. We recommend that you contact us directly to arrange. You will need to provide an .eps vector file of the image. Please note that we require a minimum order of 5 backs for this service due to the need to manufacture a custom stamp; however you get to keep the custom leather stamp! 

Will Sled backs work with iPhone® 4 cases?
Our backs work with iPhone® 4 bumper style cases, but they may not work with some cases that cover the back of your phone. Why would you want to hide your beautiful new back?

How do I install a Sled back?
It's just like installing new batteries for your TV remote. Check out our installation video: http://sledmade.com/pages/installation-instructions.

Does it affect my iPhone® warranty?
Swapping out your back cover can be done without leaving a trace of tampering with your phone and therefore it shouldn't be a cause for concern. If you take your phone in for service, simply replace your Sled back with your original glass iPhone® back and you should be all set. We are unable to make any guarantees with respect to Apple's warranty and service policies.

Will there be any difference in my photos or video?
All Sled backs include the necessary camera and flash lenses. Keep in mind that with our thicker leather backs, although the recessed lens eliminates the risk of scratching, it will narrow the light spread from the flash lens.

How strong and durable are Sled backs?
We handcraft each item with a strict attention to detail. The materials are very strong and durable. Since it is 100% natural leather and wood materials, your Sled back will wear beautifully and add unique character with age. Leather and wood also don't shatter like glass!

What is your return policy?
100% Money Back Guarantee. We know you will be more than satisfied with your Sled Back, but if you are not for any reason you can return it within 14 days for a full refund- no questions asked. All sales with custom initials or artwork are final. 

Does it change the weight of my phone?
Your phone will be slightly lighter with a Sled back.

How are Sled backs made?
Each back is handmade in Boston, Massachusetts by our craftsmen. The leather, wood and canvas materials are precision cut and assembled by hand with bezels and lenses. We then treat your back for water repellence and to extend the life of the leather and wood and ship it direct to your door.
